How to Host a Hybrid Party for Your Team, Family & Friends

With the rise of video conferencing capabilities, people can be more connected than ever before. No matter where you are in the world these days, you can use Zoom or other similar technologies to speak to your loved ones, colleagues or friends face to face on video.

Video conferencing isn't just for corporate meetings, though! Painting studios have also benefited from this technology and have been able to connect all different types of groups over virtual parties with the spirit of creativity and fun.

Do you want to organize an in person painting party but have attendees in different time zones or who can't travel? Hybrid paint parties are the best of both worlds!

Hybrid parties have all the convenience of a virtual paint party and comfort of painting from home with the option of being together to socialize. They involve a mixture of in-person guests and virtual attendees and aim to create an inclusive and exciting experience for painters of all skill levels.

Painting parties are an engaging, versatile and affordable way you can set up for groups of all sizes, whether everyone is meeting up in person or joining remotely. Hybrid paint parties are an amazing time for attendees regardless of if they can join in person or not.

Not only are they fun, but throwing a hybrid painting party is as easy as 1-2-3! Here are the steps to hosting your Hybrid Painting Party with Canvas N Cup:

Step 1: Choose a date for your paint party

Partner with us to select a date that works for you and your guests. Check our private party calendar to make sure your desired date is available!

Step 2: Pick a location for your guests

Choose a location for your physical guests that will give them the best experience. Your virtual guests can paint from their own kitchens or living rooms!

Step 3: Pick your favorite painting from our gallery

Our gallery has a painting for any occasion! Whether you have theme in mind or you just want to gather folks to paint for family birthday parties, corporate occasion or holiday weekend with the kids, our wide range has something for everyone.

Pick from your favorite painting theme; we have nature scenes, holiday portraits, floral paintings, seasonal favorites, animals, city skylines and more!

Step 4: Make sure you have your supplies

We come to your location, bring all the painting kits, and teach you step by step, while streaming the instructions via zoom to other participants who are unable to be in the same room.

Our paint kit uses only professional artist-grade supplies. Here is what's included when you paint with us:

  • 12 x 16 Artist Grade Stretched Canvas
  • 8 Tubes of Acrylic Paint (White, Black, Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Brown)
  • 3 Premium Brushes
  • Disposable Apron
  • Mixing Plate

Step 5: Show up / get on Zoom & Party!

Bring your drink of choice and some yummy snacks and get ready to paint!

Note that any of your guests who will be joining the party remotely will have a Zoom link sent to them ahead of time to join when the painting starts.

Make sure everyone is on time too - we typically have a limit of up to two hours for a hybrid painting class.

Conclusion

Host a creative social event that your guests can attend from anywhere! Whether you are organizing a corporate event to include remote teams or a family gathering that relatives who aren't nearby can join, a hybrid party is a popular and convenient option.
